Head Over Heels

Watch them on YouTube

Are a  Cork based Rock n' Roll Band  They play a blend of popular rock and pop spanning nearly five decades of music.  While they  are firm favourites on the Cork and Munster Pub music circuit, this song collection makes them  perfect for entertaining  gatherings of mixed ages. The parents can revel in Beatles and Kinks while the next generation discover this treasure.   HOH  are equally at home playing  Festivals, Weddings, Birthday Parties with a zero, and Corporate Functions. The band are loved  for their very tight, accurately played set, fronted with superb vocals.

Reverend Tony Davis (Vocals, acoustic guitar)

Known for the occasional miracle, T is one of the finest vocalists  Ireland has produced.  His harmony singing has appeared on many albums, e.g. Moving Hearts, Mary Black, Freddie White. He has also recorded two albums of his own songs. A versatile chanter, his song choices range from the acoustic tinged Jethro Tull to the full on Rock of Spencer Davis. (Allegedly his father)

Steve Shotgun Hampson (Lead Guitar, Vocals)

known affectionately by the band as, ‘Steve’, is probably the best looking lead guitarist in Cork. His distinctive call, ‘mine’s a Carlsberg’ is legendary in the music industry across these islands.  Since his arrival in Cork Shotgun has worked with original acts, Horsies and Jennifer Lomasney. Steve's exciting rhythm and blistering lead guitar playing is the turbo charger in HOH. His  singing is featured on some of the more unusual songs in the set. e.g. Crowded House, Joe Jackson.

DD Lazy O’ Leary (Drums)

DD began drumming with bands such as Paul and the Bulbs in Cork,  and Scullion in Dublin. Who? Famously he once rejected an offer to join The BoomTown Rats! The drum kit lay idle for some time as DD developed a career as a Sound Engineer.  His return to Cork in the nineties led to the creation his own SoundSound Studio. Friends in Cork band  Horsies helped  rescue the drumkit from the attic. When Horsies were retired to stud, Tony Davis phoned with  a vacant drum seat in HOH.  There was no hesitation.

 Tico Rodigrues

Tico 's been giving good bass to many bands over the years – Sexual Chocolate, Karen U and the Flying Monkeys to name but two. Famously he once rejected an offer to join Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine, as a dancer . He enjoys giving life to the bass guitar but also is the band's health and safety officer. So if you're dancing to death , he can de-fibrilate you – for a small fee! Tico now runs a furniture design company and rocks out at the weekends but that latin spirit, you cant quench it ! Ola!
